June 2021: Emergency towing operation of Fishing Vessel 25 miles off the coast of Mauritius

On Tuesday afternoon, Immersub principals were informed that a fishing vessel was drifting off the coast of Mauritius at approximately 15 nautical miles. The team immediately reacted and prepared the emergency plan and remained on standby until green light was received by the agent to attend the fishing vessel.

The team sailed at 1800 onboard another fishing vessel in order to help the drifting vessel in distress. At 2100, the emergency response team reached the vessel at 25 NM off the coast and connected the tow line to start the towing operations. At 0230, the team reached Port Louis, and a second response team was mobilized to secure the casualty in the Port, on one of the mooring buoys which Immersub installed in April 2021.
