Unfortunately, after a failed anchor salvage operation, the two divers passed away in a terrible accident, and someone had to take over the activity in the Port. Captain Rochecouste then decided to incorporate a diving company to assist the various vessels in Port with underwater services. Thanks to the knowledge acquired during all these years assisting his mentors, Amaury had no choice than to endorse the responsibility of assisting the vessels by himself. Quickly, he felt the need of getting more skills and at the age of 18 he flew to South Africa to get his commercial diving ticket. After several months of intense training, he came back to the island as a certified IMCA Class II Air Diver, and started putting his fresh skills to work in Port Louis.
In collaboration with the dry-dock, Immersub quickly got involved in the biggest salvage operations in Port Louis. From the MSC Katie, a container vessel who collided with an ice breaker in Port, to the regretfully famous MV Wakashio, Amaury is without any doubt the most experienced commercial diver in Mauritius.
Years passed and it was time for the younger son of the family to join the business. As passionate for the ocean, and after a couple of years in France, Samuel joined the company officially at the age of 24. He grew up with the company and had a good understanding of the industry as he used to spend his free time helping out his parents in the office and his brother underwater. Thanks to his mother who was a high skilled manager, he quickly learnt how to keep things organized and how to lead a team. A couple of years later, the two brothers decided to take over the company and started a new chapter.
